If there is one thing I don't like about the Netherlands is that there is hardly any summer. This year, I could only count when we were able to sit outside or even have a barbecue. However, September was pretty much mild. So when the weather is predicted to be quite nice, we take every opportunity to be out for a long weekend and take advantage of the "summery" weather.
I really cherish times like this, being out with the family, simply enjoying nature, witnessing a beautiful sunset, and loving the company of my husband and daughter. I feel that there is nothing more I could ask. I feel so much contented and very much blessed.
I can't wait for December, when we can all enjoy the real tropical weather and have our annual dose of warmth and sunshine.
