* you try to imagine how your life will be with a little rascal.
* you have a sudden distaste for wine, sushi, coffee and brie.
* you eat a lot. you have a craving for Shakey's cheese and garlic thin crust pizza and siopao from Kowloon.
* everything seems to be smellier than they used to be.
* you suddenly feel that you have no control of your body.
* your book collection changes as you receive loads of books (in English of course!) from family and friends.
* you dream a lot
* you suddenly notice more babies and kids around you
* you start mimicking baby talks and sounds
* you think of baby songs which would represent both your culture.
* your hubby starts singing "tong tong tong tong pakitong kitong, alimango sa dagat..."
* you lose your sense of inhibition, given the numerous internal check-ups with the doctor. you walk to the examination room half naked without the benefit of a gown (at least here in the Netherlands)
* you enjoy your new found cleavage but with it, comes the bulging belly
* you wonder what people are fussing about the "pregnancy glow"
* people start asking "how is the baby" not "how are you?" questions.
* you suddenly develop an interest in nurseries, diapers and baby foods, and start worrying about how to change
nappies.
* the time or days seem to go faster.

* you get a surprise package from your bachelor friend, and could not imagine that he scouted for baby books from AmazonUK!
* you're preoccupied with babies' names
* everyone has his/her own way of guessing the baby's sex from the most intricate mathematic formula, or through the conception date or putting a string around your waist(!?!). we just occassionally consult our eight ball.
* you start acting silly.

Indeed, exciting times!
Hey Sari, you're getting there...you must be very excited...
Very good post!!! You and your husband must be very very excited.
Why of all songs Tong tong pakitongkitong? LOL :-)))
SIDNEY: yes indeed!
TING and AL BJORN: yup we are very excited and can't wait to see our little one. Of course we also feel anxious and nervous being first time parents.
IG: i was randomly thinking of an easy pinoy song for hubby to learn. now he is sooo into it :-)
These are the things I will surely miss in my life! ;-)
Anyway, I will be looking forward to more updates of your pregnancy.
And be spoiled, relish on it at least for 9 months because after that comes the little thing who will take your being spoiled crown away.
MissT: The strange thing is that if you would have asked me a couple of years ago--these are the stuff that i would not really miss in my life! But things have changed the moment we made the choice to go for it. And so far i'm enjoying it...
SHA: oo nga eventually i have to pass the throne no...i guess i had my share of pamperedness so perhaps it's time to pass it on ;-)
