My Very Funny Valentine

I was running late yesterday to wrap up things at work because I planned to take the Friday off. I was hoping to get something on my way home for my hubby and daughter, but I was very pressed for time.

No matter how sappy it may sound, hubby and I do celebrate V-day even if it only means giving each other a small token or writing each other a letter. I don't really go for the commercialism which is a huge turn off really. What I do appreciate though is the simple efforts of hubby to express V-day in his own way.

Coming home, I was almost embarassed when I saw this huge vase of red tulips, trying to think of a good excuse for not having anything. This year I was quite pressed for time to write or prepare for anything

I complimented hubby for the nice flowers and was about to say "thank you".....

Blushing, hubby said "ohhh i didn't quite make it to the flower shop because I was caught up in a meeting...".

It turned out that the flowers was a Valentine's gift from our very thoughtful cleaner who usually comes every Thursday.

Hubby jokingly quipped "do you think we are paying her too much"?
