It was a fun and relaxing weekend. We went for walks, the kids enjoyed the indoor heated pool and there was a lot of chance to chill out while drinking wine or the traditional hot chocolate.
Of course the highlight of the weekend was the exchange of gifts and the preparing of poems for the person you intend to give the gift. We also had to make the celebration more dramatic for my three year old niece who lives in London, for her to get the whole experience of Sinterklaas and his black Piets. It is always nice to see Sinterklaas from a kid's point of view. I can't wait for the time when we can impart the Sinterklaas tradition to our daughter.
