A Peep Show

Yesterday my husband and I went to our monthly check up with our gynecologist. On our way to the clinic, I was talking to our baby and requesting him/her to give us a show so we would now know. I told my husband not to even ask Dr. S for the nth time because we might end up again disappointed. Last month, our baby didn't want us to determine his/her sex by putting his/her legs closely tight together. Well yesterday our baby did not disappoint us, it clearly showed what he/she is. Finally, for us, the suspense is over!
*********
I woke up this morning with a terrible heartburn. I had difficulty getting up because it seems that all my internal organs are just pushing towards my chest. Our baby has been very active during night times and early mornings. I could feel the baby struggling for some space, pushing, wiggling or just making this hiccup like movements. Sometimes I caress my tummy and sing to the baby as it seems to have a calming effect. Other times I find myself laughing hard loud whenever I feel those hard determined kicks.
What I love most about this stage of the pregnancy is that I could share this experience with my husband, because he himself could already feel the baby's movement. During the night or early mornings, I would often feel hubby's hand reaching out towards my growing belly, as if wanting to hold or touch our baby. This is definitely the bonding moments for the three of us, and surely I would consider as one of the wonderful moments of pregnancy. I told hubby that I will miss the experience of feeling the baby's movements inside me when we finally deliver our baby. Really, the miracle of having a life inside me still amazes me almost on a daily basis.

I know the feeling...'been there twice. Enjoy it. 'hope you are going to have more than one. I am regretting now that I only have two.

Hi RENNYBA: Thanks for the words of encouragement:-) Being new parents to be, we really have no clue how parenthood will work for us. A lot of people say that our lives will change! We are both nervous but nonetheless very excited to welcome our baby.

Hi TING-ALING: I kinda started "late" with the first baby. Hopefully, I'll have enough energy left to consider another one. But yes, my mom is an only child and she always tells me it's better to have more.
