TGIF

Hubby just called to say that he is stuck in traffic. I guess we will have to skip the movie tonight as I don't feel like rushing for dinner just to be able to catch the film. I usually look forward to Fridays. We have big lunches in the office. By 3:00 pm, everyone starts to get restless. By 5:00 pm, the pubs start to get busy. There are Fridays that I had to rush to London Stanstead Airport to take the flight to NL. But usually it was hubby who would visit me in London. I really enjoyed the times when my hubby would pick me up from work to have a picnic lunch at Kensington Gardens. Then he heads home and picks me up again in the afternoon to meet friends for dinner. Sometimes hubby and I would just wind down, have a walk along Thames River, and cook a good meal at home. I miss the "high" feeling of "it's Friday!!!". I like hanging out with friends in a bohemian cafe called Troubadour in Earl's Court or the Churchill Arms in Nottinghill Gate which is both a pub and a restaurant that offers Thai Food. I like their indoor garden set-up. But most often than not we end up in Soho where there are more choices of restaurants. Now Fridays have changed for me. I wake up late. Procrastinate. And after more procrastinating, I clean the house. Friday is general cleaning day! Better to clean on Fridays than deal with it during the weekend. However, I still look forward to Fridays because 1) I usually get calls from my ex-colleagues at work towards the afternoon; 2) Hubby and I will stay up late; 3) Time to meet up with friends or family; and 4) the best part is -- I won't be on my own for the next two days. Ahhh weekend...

You know there's a group of Pinoys at the United Nations office there if you're into looking for your lahi.
